St. Luke Youth Group December Schedule
St. Luke Youth Group is open to any student in grades 5 through 8. We enjoy outings and faith based experiences throughout every month. Please feel free to contact Abbie Harrington, at [email protected] if you have any questions.
December 8th from 4 to 6 will focus on the theme of What Is God’s Plan for Me? This youth group session will be all about exploring the idea of where God may be calling us towards in our lives. Sr. Carmen Maldonado, Faith Formation Director of St. Luke, and Fr. John Malthaner, Pastor of St. Luke, will discuss their own callings as well as the vocation of religious life. Michelle Scully, Mercyhurst University Campus Minister, will bring along her family to speak on the vocation of married life. Finally, Youth Minister Abbie will talk on the vocation of single life.
December 15th (Time to be Determined) will be our monthly outing! We will be headed to the movies at Tinseltown (1910 Rotunda Dr.) to see Frozen 2. The cost will be about $7 for a ticket, which excludes money for snacks. Please be on the lookout for an email from the Youth Minister for more information on this event once the date draws closer.
December 22nd from 4 to 6 will be a Christmas centered day of service! We will make Christmas cards for the Infirmary at the Sisters of Mercy. We will travel together up the hill to the Motherhouse to deliver the cards, Christmas cookies, and sing Christmas carols for the under the weather Sisters. It is sure to be a fun day of spreading Christmas cheer! Please be sure to wear your best ugly Christmas sweater J
December 29th there will be no youth group. Please enjoy time with your families this Christmas. I am wishing you all a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
